What to bring
For all courses you will need to supply your own sewing machine or one you have borrowed. I have a machine that can be hired for $20/day. Make sure that your machine is running well, this will help the class flow for you.
BASICS
- Sewing Machine and your Manual if you have one
- Sewing scissors
- Unpicker
- Pins
- Elastic – 2.5cm wide x twice your hip measurement plus 10cm (non roll elastic is a good choice)
- Fabric of choice – Must be cotton (no stretch and not too fine) Homespun is good weight. *SKIRT 1.5m *PANTS 2m
- If you would like to add a trim like lace or ric rac onto your skirt purchase 2m.
- Needles to suit your machine, Size 80

SECTION ONE
Panel skirt The design of this skirt gives you an opportunity to use your creativity with colours and prints. You need to choose up to 5 different Non-stretch cotton fabrics that you feel work together, they can be plains and prints.
- The Skirt consists of 3 Main Panels
A. Front Panel (three sections = 3 different fabrics) all three need to be 40 cm each
B. Side Panel ( use a darker colour here if you worry about appearing large) 1 piece at 0.6m
C. Back Panel (one fabric) 30cm
- Dress zipper 20cm or there abouts (to match fabric on back panel)
- Cotton or Satin Bias Binding 25mm wide (legnth of your hips + 10cm)
Cushion with Zip Bring leftover fabrics from Basics or stuff you have at home that is Non-stretch. If you’d like to decorate the
